We see it all the time… a continual stream of guests coming up to the bride & groom’s table to chat with them – while the B&G have their entree in front of them and they’re trying to eat. To be polite, most B&Gs stop eating to chat with you. Less than ideal for many obvious reasons (they’re hungry, worked hard on picking out the menu over many months, food is getting cold, etc. etc.) but it also creates a situation where soon most of the guests are done eating and want to dance but the B&G aren’t finished, so dinner music continues and the dance party is delayed because they weren’t able to eat when everyone else was – even though they received their dinners first!
